Praying For America Day 3: The Election

2 I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. ² Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. ³ This is good and pleases God our Savior, ⁴ who wants everyone to be saved and to understand the truth.

As November approaches, we as Christians and Americans need to pray for the upcoming elections.  Pray to the LORD that we elect leaders who put God and country above party affiliation regardless of which party they belong too.

We have too many leaders in both parties whose only vision is to the next election.  This country has too many problems to be so short-sighted.  We need leaders who will deal with our issues head on.  Unemployment is high, and our morale is low.  We have too much debt, and not enough restraint to live within our means.

May God raise up leaders from both parties who will make decisions that will affect positively the future generations of this nation.  It has been said that we get the government we deserve.  I believe we deserve better than what we have now.

Please take a few minutes to pray for revival and the upcoming elections.
