God Bless America Again: Praying for Revival

It has been impressed on my heart to pray for this nation for one month.  The month will be from June 4, 2012 to July 4, 2012.  Our church will be praying for revival in ourselves, in our church, our city and our nation.  It is my hope that you join us in this thirty-day journey of prayer.

As our nation slowly moves away from the Godly principles that made it great, we need a move of God to bring us back.  I love our nation, and I believe that it is a great nation.

Isaiah 10: 5-10 declares”

⁵ “What sorrow awaits Assyria, the rod of my anger.
    I use it as a club to express my anger.
⁶ I am sending Assyria against a godless nation,
    against a people with whom I am angry.
Assyria will plunder them,
    trampling them like dirt beneath its feet.
⁷ But the king of Assyria will not understand that he is my tool;
    his mind does not work that way.
His plan is simply to destroy,
    to cut down nation after nation.

The scripture above tells us that God uses nations to judge other nations.  Sooner or later if we do not change our ways, God will have to judge America.  It is my hope and prayer, that instead of judgement for our nation, God bring revival.  Many pastors are feeling this same call.

Revival comes forth when the church prays for it.  Let us look at  II Chronicles 7:14 says:

¹⁴ Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.

Please take a few minutes to lift our nation in prayer during June to early July.  Ask God for a fresh move of his Spirit here in America.  We need revival in this nation more than anything else.
