This Sunday @ N.H.C.C. (09.18.11): What It Means To Walk Humbly With Your God

This Sunday (09.18.11) pastor greg will be bringing forth the message: “Are You Walking Humbly?”.  The text will be taken primarily from Micah 6:8

⁸ No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good,
      and this is what he requires of you:
   to do what is right, to love mercy,
      and to walk humbly with your God

We will discussing what it meant to walk humbly with God to some of the heroes of the Bible such as Abraham, Moses, and David.  These  Old Testament heroes walked humbly with God and prospered.  It was when they strayed from walking with God that they got in trouble.  Jesus is our example of humbly  walking with God,  His walk with God was perfect to the point of dying on a cross for our sins.

Pastor Mark will also giving a teaching on being a part of the Army of God.  His scripture will be Genesis 3:15

¹⁵ And I will cause hostility between you and the woman,
      and between your offspring and her offspring.
   He will strike^[b] your head,
      and you will strike his heel.”

Music will include the following hymns and songs:  There is a Fountain,  I Will Enter His Gates, Shall We Gather at the River,   In the Garden, and  Just a Closer Walk With Thee.
