The Message (MSG)
16-17It’s news I’m most proud to proclaim, this extraordinary Message of God’s powerful plan to rescue everyone who trusts him, starting with Jews and then right on to everyone else! God’s way of putting people right shows up in the acts of faith, confirming what Scripture has said all along: “The person in right standing before God by trusting him really lives.”
One positive thing about the gospel, is that it can change people from who they were, to who God wants them to be. It takes a faint hearted fisherman like Peter, and turns him into a powerful preacher. It turns a persecuting pharisee like Paul, and turns him into an extremely effective evangelist.
Many people can deny the God, Jesus, and the Gospel, but one thing that cannot be denied is our testimony because it shows how powerful his Word is. If we are in Christ we are constantly being changed into the image of Christ. We are not the drunks, drug addicts, sinners etc.. we were in the past, but rather we are now saved, being sanctified, and sure to be glorified children of God.
We are being changed from glory to glory
