Is God trying To Tell Us Something? Pt 3 (& R U Listening?)
Lately I have been discussing how God maybe trying to get the attention of this country. Things are going haywire fast. The country is drought. We have a drought in national leadership, we have been experiencing an extreme lack of rain, and our economy is in drought.
II Chronicles 7:12-16
“I have heard your prayer and have chosen this Temple as the place for making sacrifices. 13 At times I might shut up the heavens so that no rain falls, or command grasshoppers to devour your crops, or send plagues among you. 14Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. 15 My eyes will be open and my ears attentive to every prayer made in this place. 16 For I have chosen this Temple and set it apart to be holy—a place where my name will be honored forever. I will always watch over it, for it is dear to my heart.
The Word tells us God holds back the rain, but if we as Christians repent then our land will be healed. Are we listening to what the Spirit is saying? It is now time for national repentance in the church. It is time for us to seek God and pray for revival because the Word is also a double-edged sword.
If we turn and repent, God promises to heal our country. There is also implied warning in scripture too. If we as a church body do not repent then God will not heal our land and we will have to be judged. I do not know when this will occur, but it will happen. If God did not spare his own people from judgement, then how will we escape? God is patient, loving. and long-suffering, but not forever. Again let us search our hearts and repent before God. Let us pray for revival to come across this country. We need it so badly. If not for you than for the future generations of this great country. God is calling us back, but are we listening? I hope so. Healing awaits if we follow and obey his word, but if we do not then his judgement will befall us.
Romans 11:21-23
New Living Translation (NLT)
21 For if God did not spare the original branches, he won’t[a]spare you either.
22 Notice how God is both kind and severe. He is severe toward those who disobeyed, but kind to you if you continue to trust in his kindness. But if you stop trusting, you also will be cut off. 23 And if the people of Israel turn from their unbelief, they will be grafted in again, for God has the power to graft them back into the tree.
until next time,
