Are You Going Through Hell?

Poet Annie Johnson Flint worded this truth,

 “God hath not promised skies always blue, flower-strewn pathways all our lives through; God hath not promised sun without rain, joy without sorrow, peace without pain.  But God has promised strength for the day, rest for the labor; light for the way, grace for the trials, help from above, unfailing sympathy, undying love.”

Psalm 121 says:

  “I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from?  My help comes from the LORD,  the Maker of heaven and earth.  He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.  The LORD watches over you—the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.  The LORD will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”

Just some words of encouragement if you are going through a tough time right now.  You will endure and persevere with God’s grace and strength.  I do not make light of people’s struggles because I have been through many myself, but I also take comfort in the fact that I am an eternal being.  In this life if the trial wins and extinguishes my last breath, I know I immediately will be with Christ my LORD.  In Christ’s presence I have total victory and life.
