This Sunday @ N.H.C.C.: 05.14.11

This Sunday at New Hope Christian Church, Pastor Moreland will be brining forth the word because I am out-of-town attending my Daughter’s college graduation from Texas State University.

Pastor Mark will be speaking on the topic of why there is evil in the world.  Pastor Mark says briefly:

Evil that happens in the world is not caused by God but by men and women who chose to disobey God.  The freedom of Choice that God gave us, the choice to love Him/obey Him or disobey Him/reject Him.  This is what causes suffering.  A parent lets its baby try to walk knowing it will fall down and get hurt because of the greater good of learing to walk.  The choices we make show our faith and bring glory to God or our rejection of God’s wisdom and brings suffering.  The greatest suffering is when Jesus took the worlds sins upon Him and God had to separate Himself from Jesus.  “My God My God why have you forsaken me.”  This suffering that Jesus took brought about a greater Good.  Our salvation.

His text will be from Genesis 3:6 and Job 1: 15-17
