This Sunday @ N.H.C.C.: Singspiration, This is How We Worship

This Sunday (04.10.11) at N.H.C.C. we will be saying good-bye to our guitar player and singer Sue Johnson as she attends her last service for this year until October.  Sue is a Winter Texan and she will be going home to Colorado for the spring and summer.  She will be missed.

Service is at 10:30 AM at The American Legion Hall at 305 E. Bowie St.

To honor Sue we will be featuring her voice and guitar in a singspiration service.

Pastor Mark Moreland will continue his teaching on “10 Charechteristics of a Christian”.  He will be discussing reasons 5 & 6.  Come by to learn what they are.

The Message is entitled “This is How We Worship.”  based on Psalm 33: 1-5

Good people, cheer God! Right-living people sound best when praising.
Use guitars to reinforce your Hallelujahs!
Play his praise on a grand piano!
Invent your own new song to him;
give him a trumpet fanfare.

4-5 For God’s Word is solid to the core;
everything he makes is sound inside and out.
He loves it when everything fits,
when his world is in plumb-line true.
Earth is drenched
in God’s affectionate satisfaction.

We will be discussing how God created us each differently, and because we are different many of us praise God with different types and styles of music.  This is a good thing because God’s music whether in English or Spanish, country or contemporary, hymn or chorus is pleasing to God.  It is man who sets rules as to how we are to worship.  Join us  for a deeper discussion

Songs that will be sung are Life’s Railway to Heaven, I Saw the Light, I Will Sing Of The Mercies of The Lord Forever, Because He Lives, I Have Decided to Follow Jesus, and others.

Hope to see you there,
