Happy Valentine’s Day, and Husbands Love Your Wives

²⁵Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

Below is a video by Trace Adkins entitled “The Rest of Mine.”  It speaks about a man who will love his wife until the end of his life.  As you listen to the lyrics you hear him sing of his love that  will last until his  “last breath, until the angels sing, until he sees the light.”  This is similar to how Christ loved his church.  He loved us till his last breath.  He died for the church.  Christ’s death for us showed us the depths of God’s love for us.  He loved us and still loves us even after the angels escorted  him back to heaven.  

Men this Valentine’s day not only tell your wife you love her, but also show it.  Let us also not limit our displays of affection to February 14th, but make it a daily thing.  We do not know how much time God has given us here on earth, so let us love our wives till the end of our life as Christ did for his church.
