(Contine To) Pray for Peace
A few days ago I asked everyone to pray for the situation in Egypt. Since then it seems that things have deteriorated in that nation. Tensions have risen and violence is getting worse.
Psalm 122:6-9 Pray for Jerusalem’s peace!
Prosperity to all you Jerusalem-lovers!
Friendly insiders, get along!
Hostile outsiders, keep your distance!
For the sake of my family and friends,
I say it again: live in peace!
For the sake of the house of our God, God,
I’ll do my very best for you.
Though the violence is an ocean away, the repercussions will affect us here at home in a very personal way. If things continue to get worse the price of oil could go up. Already speculators are watching to see if oil prices will go up. If oil prices rise then it will drastically affect our way of life. If oil goes up then the price for a gallon of gas will go up. The price of goods and food will soon rise too. If Egypt falls and the muslim brotherhood takes over we will have another enemy in the region. I am no prophet and I do not know what will happen in the future, but if we do not pray and ask God to intervene, things will get worse. I am not an alarmist, but please pray for a peaceful resolution in Egypt. God is in control.
